In partnership with Cape Breton University, Beinn Mhàbu now offers a one-year program in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Gain practical skills and industry experience in one of Nova Scotia’s fastest-growing sectors, all while living in community at Beinn Mhàbu. In applying for the year in Mabou, students will receive:
• Hands-on hospitality and tourism training
• Industry-relevant CBU courses
• Credits toward CBU’s BHTM degree
• Live and study in Mabou, in a supportive campus community
Program Objectives
• Prepare students for employment in Cape Breton's tourism and hospitality sectors.
• Integrate Gaelic cultural revitalization and ecological sustainability into professional training.
• Offer flexible pathways: one-year certificate or transfer to CBU's BHTM program.
• Provide practical, community-embedded learning focused on both cultural and environmental stewardship.
